stencil tees

This is one of those things that is just so easy it hardly even qualifies as a project. Still, I think it can turn out pretty cute. I plan on making some boy versions, so you can expect to be seeing Titus modeling something pretty soon. What do you all think? Would you ever consider buying one?

I love these. Is it fabric paint? I think some with funky initials would be super cute.

It is actually textile paint, but you can buy the "tulip soft" fabric paint at Joanns and Michaels, and it would work just as well. I want to do some machinery for Titus, but I can't just wing out and sketch a tank or a backhoe- I'll have to do research!

Rachel,

I love this! I have been experimenting with screen painting on fabric, for some items I have made, and it is not as easy as I thought it would be. I love this look, so when you said it was easy I knew I should ask how you did it. So, how did you do it? I would love some tips on how to get this look with out the long work of sketching a picture, painting the negative and so on.

Rachel, I love them! So darling and funky all at the same time. I'd buy them (but in honesty I'll more likely make some :o))!

Hey Liz,
I'd like to see something like this on a dinner napkin for spring/summer. A design that could withstand bleaching and fade nicely, and a fabric that wouldn't shrink too much in hot water or wrinkle beyond the strength of an iron.

Love 'em Rachel! I'd buy one for Shannon in a heartbeat...
I like Mackenzie's idea of funky initials too!
